"We have lived at Terrace Greene for 3 years now. When we first came to look at the neighborhood, we knew this would be a nice place to live. We underestimated how good it could be. They allow pets and have a pet friendly attitude in the neighborhood providing a small pet park and many pet waste stations. They have a huge pool and have many events poolside throughout the year, including an annual pool party with a DJ, lots of food and prizes. They have many events monthly at the clubhouse, including Easter Egg Hunt, Halloween Costume Party, and a very popular Taco Tuesday. All of this is included with your rent!! The management and maintenance staff have become friends of ours and are very diligent and knowledgeable when we have questions or need something addressed in our unit. Speaking of the units, we are in a townhouse, which our dogs love since we have a backyard area that makes it very convenient for them to use. While some of the neighbors come and go, we have enjoyed the time they are our neighbors, and most have been very respectable to each other, so no complaints about noise or other problems by being in a rental community. There is much more offered at Terrace Greene, so I hope this gives a little light on some of the amenities offered here. We love it!” – Brad and Pam

“I would just like to share my experience at Terrace Greene in Barboursville, VA. I moved there in 2014 and fell in love with the community. The manager and staff are top notch always going the extra mile to help you. It’s pet friendly and has beautiful landscaping. They offer many holidays get togethers to meet your neighbors or invite your family over for fun activities. We have an annual pool party with lots of games and door prizes. The maintenance department takes care of any concerns you have within 24 hours or less. It really feels like home, so I decided to stay there into my retirement. Stacy Lam- CAM, CAPS
Director of Operations-2019 BRAC Community Manager of the Year!
Stacy was born and raised in the Charlottesville area and now calls Barboursville home. She began her career in real estate but quickly discovered her true passion in property management—a field where she has built over 18 years of experience, including 14 years of dedicated service at Terrace Greene.
As Director of Operations, Stacy oversees the day-to-day functions of the property, ensuring that everything runs smoothly—from resident relations and leasing operations to maintenance coordination and staff development. She plays a key role in setting operational standards, improving resident satisfaction, and leading strategic initiatives that enhance the overall community experience.
Stacy holds certifications as both a Certified Apartment Manager and a Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor. She is known for her genuine care for each and every resident and works hard to ensure their time here is comfortable, enjoyable, and stress-free. Stacy also leads a passionate and talented team that shares her commitment to excellence and community-focused service.
Jason Lam
Maintenance Supervisor- 2021 Maintenance Supervisor of the Year!
Jason is a lifelong resident of Greene County and brings over 20 years of experience as a licensed electrician to his role as Maintenance Supervisor at The Villages at Terrace Greene. Since joining the team, he has taken great pride in leading a skilled and dependable maintenance staff dedicated to keeping the community in top condition.
In his role, Jason is responsible for overseeing all aspects of property maintenance, including routine repairs, preventive maintenance, safety inspections, vendor coordination, and emergency response. He ensures that work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards, contributing directly to the comfort and satisfaction of every resident.
In 2021, Jason was honored as Maintenance Supervisor of the Year—a well-deserved recognition of his leadership, technical expertise, and commitment to excellence.
Jason's strong work ethic, community roots, and passion for helping others make him an invaluable part of The Villages at Terrace Greene team.
Courtney Ragland
Property Manager
Courtney brings over 13 years of customer service experience to her role as Property Manager at Terrace Greene. She is responsible for overseeing daily operations, including leasing, resident relations, maintenance coordination, rent collection, and regulatory compliance. Courtney is dedicated to upholding the core values of Terrace Greene—integrity, community, excellence, and service—in every aspect of her work.
Her professional approach is rooted in building strong relationships, delivering consistent results, and creating a positive living experience for every resident. She takes pride in fostering a welcoming and well-managed environment that reflects the high standards of the Terrace Greene community.

Leasing Consultant
Born and raised in Virginia, relocated to Charlottesville 3 years ago. I have 2 beautiful daughters and a bright, intelligent (extremely handsome) 3 year old Grandson. I enjoy reading, laughing until you almost cry, spending time with family and friends. Nags Head, NC is my one of my favorite vacation spots, and SKYLINE Drive is my all-time must-dos! I’ve been in Customer Relations, Advertising and Marketing for 30+ years, it’s definitely a passion of mine.
Clayton Shearer
Maintenance Technician
Clayton was born in Lynchburg, VA. He enjoys writing; he has published his first book called Beyond the Willow and is currently working on the second installment. Clayton loves to travel, and read Stephen King novels. He has worked in the maintenance field in Lynchburg for 2 years and is so excited to now be working at TG, you can always count on a wave and smile when he passes by.
Lee Smith
Maintenance Technician
Lee grew up in a Navy household, he was born in Connecticut and lived in Hawaii, California, Virginia Beach and then Greene when he was in high school. Right out of high school he joined the Air Force and was stationed in Japan, Honduras and Las Vegas. He currently resides in Greene and he and his wife have three grown children and five grandchildren. Each one is his favorite. Lee serves Terrace Greene as a Maintenance Technician. He is always willing to help in any way he can, with a smile.
Mike Shifflett
Maintenance Technician
Mike has lived in Greene County all of his life. In his spare time, he enjoys riding and training horses, as well as spending time with his family. He has a dog named Chloe that he absolutely adores. He has been at TG for 3 years and enjoys assisting maintenance in all daily duties.
Kenny Gilbert
Maintenance Technician
Kenny is born in Charlottesville but moved around from South Carolina to West VA and back to Virginia. He has two sons and enjoys coaching basketball and baseball. Kenny enjoys the beach, grilling, and playing sports. He has almost 20 years in the maintenance/building industry and he is so excited to be here at Terrace Greene.
Bryant Knight
Maintenance Technician/Grounds
Bryant was born in Greene County and has lived here his whole life. He has one sister and a little brother on the way. Bryant enjoys hunting and fishing in his spare time and loves to go to the beach with his family. He used to work at VSC fire and security and is excited to be working in a different line of work here at Terrace Greene.
Jacob Alston
Maintenance Technician/Cleaning
Jacob was born and raised in Alaska, which is why he loves cold weather. He moved to the Charlottesville area about 6 years ago. Jacob comes to the Terrace Greene team with over 9 years of cleaning experience. He is so excited to be working here and is looking forward to meeting our residents. In his spare time, Jacob enjoys playing cornhole with friends, cheering on his favorite team the Ravens.
